We’re pleased to be working with Francy Castillo for a second year. Francy’s family farm, El Ubérrimo, refers to the abundant production of crops, which are tended to by Francy, her four younger sisters and their parents. In 2017, she undertook a project on the farm and began planting new crops. This project involved careful planning and execution, and the results have yielded an excellent offering with complex fruitiness and sweetness that shines on the cupping table.

Francy graduated with a degree in Agricultural Engineering and has recently worked with the Colombian Coffee Federation. At 27 years old, Francy is relatively new to the specialty coffee world, but there’s much to look forward to from this young producer. In many ways, Francy represents the next generation of specialty coffee producers in Colombia.

This harvest of Francy’s coffee is big and sweet, with an unmistakable flavor of cherry gummis and peak-season nectarines. It boasts a toffee sweetness and buttery, full mouthfeel.
